  • Open letter to Christian Obama supporters

    Dear Brother/Sister,

I am writing this entry not as a joke, or to attack any individual, or to question anyone's intellect. My objective is not to stir up controversy, but to simply present a case against voting for Barak Obama.

I am speaking specifically to my Christian brothers and sisters. Thus, I am assuming two things about you as a Christian: 1. You believe in the Word of God 2. You are pro-life.

Now, some of you are already thinking, "There are other important issues besides abortion!" I agree. But these issues all pale in comparison to the holocaust of millions of children in the US. Poverty, the environment, education, the economy, are all extremely important issues in this election. But the issue of life, trumps all these issues.

But you don't have to agree with me there. I understand many of you disagree, but that is not my main argument.

My argument is this: You cannot be truly pro-life and vote for a pro-choice candidate.

    Here is why:

We believe that life begins at conception. We believe that God has ordained all life, and He is intricately involved in the creation of a human life.

    Psalm 139:13-14
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Every abortion stops a beating heart.

When you vote for Barak Obama, you are voting for the most pro-abortion candidate to ever seek the office of Presidency. As a member of the Senate he has consistently voted against bans against partial-birth abortion and had previously voted against giving medical treatment to babies that survive abortions. Yes, there are babies that actually survive abortions, and are left crying on hospital trays and even in trash cans to die.

There is a reason why Barak Obama has received a 100% rating from Planned Parenthood. On July 17, 2007, Obama stood in front of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the lobbying-political arm of the nation's largest abortion provider, and pledged, "The first thing I'd do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That's the first thing that I'd do."

Obama is a cosponsor of this so-called "Freedom of Choice Act" (FOCA) (S. 1173). It is a bill that would invalidate virtually every federal and state limitation on abortion, including all parental notification and consent laws, waiting periods, and limitations on public funding of abortion. Or, as the National Organization for Women put it, it would "sweep away hundreds of anti-abortion laws [and] policies." These laws in the aggregate have saved—are saving—countless lives.

Obama said that's the first act he'd sign! His first act as President of the United States is to sign a pro-abortion act into law.

    Proof

Late last year, RHrealitycheck.org, a prominent pro-abortion advocacy website, submitted in writing the following question to the Obama campaign (as part of a candidate questionnaire): "Does Sen. Obama support continuing federal funding for crisis pregnancy centers?"

The Obama campaign response was short, but it speaks volumes: 'No.'''

These pregnancy crisis centers provide assistance to low income women an alternative to abortion, thus, saving countless lives.

One of the greatest powers a President has, is his Supreme Court nominees. Obama has promised to nominate justices who are staunchly pro-abortion.

    I could go on Obama's pro-abortion stance.

But in the end, the issue comes down to this: we as believers make NO distinction between a child inside or outside the mother's womb. Would you support a candidate who supports the killing of a child?

The legalized killing of innocent children is not just a secondary issue. Not only is it morally reprehensible act but it is also an abomination in the eyes of God. I will not vote for a candidate simply because he/she is pro-life. But I can NEVER vote for a pro-choice candidate no matter how qualified he may be. My conscience will not allow me.

    Sincerely,

    Alex

  • Leatherheads and Celebrity Sightings
    ____________________________________________________________________________________

I went to an early screening of Leatherheads (out April 4th) at Arclight. I went there a little early, but there was already a long line. Security was tight. They were checking everyone with metal detecting devices in case we had any cameras, etc.

The movie is set in the 1920s Prohibition Era blahblahblah. The movie is a romantic comedy. The movie attempts to trace the beginnings of professional football, but this just serves as the backdrop to the romantic comedy. It would have been a much more interesting movie if it focused more on the football part.

There were some funny parts. Actually, it was more "cute" than funny. The second half was more slapstick, sitcomy which was inconsistent w/ the first half of the movie.

    CONCLUSION:

One big booty peice of ddong.

The movie was directed by George Clooney and I was hoping he would be there. But he wasn't. Instead I saw this man...

Byron Allen... he has that late night comedy show comedy unleashed?
